Independence Day banquet is held.

Christopher Gore presides over the banquet, which is held at Faneuil Hall and attended by some 500 Federalists, including Harrison Gray Otis, Paul Revere, and T.H. Perkins. Former president John Adams and Robert Treat Paine are the guests of honor.
